SLEEPTECH, llC RECEIVES ACCREDITATION AS A-STEP PROVIDER

Kinnelon, NJ October 17, 2006 -  SleepTech, LLC, headquartered in Kinnelon, NJ,  recently received accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) as a Provider of the Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program, A-STEP.  The leading provider of sleep diagnostic services in the NY Metro region went through a thorough review process with the AASM in order to qualify for A-STEP accreditation.

A-STEP provides participants with standardized education and training that develops a knowledge-base about sleep medicine and the professional skills required of a sleep technologist.  A sleep technologist is the healthcare professional responsible for performing a number of diagnostic sleep studies and certain types of therapeutic interventions on patients. 

SleepTech, LLC provides in-depth, on-the job education, training and continuing education to its employees.  The two-year accreditation that it has earned covers 80 hours of educational coursework as well as stepped field training that equals 18 months of overall learning.  Additionally, SleepTech provides continuing education to it’s technologists that is recognized towards registered Polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT) CEU requirements.
