SLEEPTECH, llC launches REST: Resources for Expert Sleep Training™

Kinnelon, NJ- May 31, 2007 - The nation’s newest sleep school opened it’s doors in mid April to great excitement and anticipation.  Even though it is a “new” program, REST has already achieved A-STEP® accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine for it’s introductory 80 hour sleep course through it’s affiliation with SleepTech, LLC.  The REST™ program is based on the proven internal courses offered by it’s host, a leader in the sleep diagnostics market.  The company has trained its technologists to a higher standard for over 14 years.  After a short approval process, SleepTech gained the coveted designation as an A-STEP® provider in October 2006.  “After much review of the regional availability of training and continuing education, we saw a distinct need and created the REST™ program” explained Kevin Kelly, President of SleepTech, LLC.

The REST™ program is offering many workshops in addition to the A-STEP® introductory course.  Scoring, EKG and BRPT Registry Exam Prep workshops can offer up to 13.75 continuing education credits to current RPSGT attendees per class.  “This is one of the few A-STEP® courses being offered in the Northeast” said Stephen Tarnoczy, Program Director of REST™ “it also is unique as it offers additional real world skills like EKG and scoring workshops that will make an immediate impact on the technologist’s work and help them earn continuing education credits”.
